Gnistan is 9th and facing direct relegation. They are 6 points behind EIF who are above them but EIF has played 1 game less. FC Haka is 4th but they are still 7 points from promotion with only 6 matches remaining.

This is a must win game for the hosts. They suffered a bad 3-1 loss to OPS which might cost them the relegation. If they would have won that game, they would have gone ahead of OPS but they lost and with OPS also winning yesterday against rivals Oulu, OPS is already 8 points ahead of Gnistan. EIF is 6 points ahead and as EIF plays against Honka tomorrow, Gnistan has a chance to cut the deficit to 3 points but it will be difficult against a strong Haka team. In that 3-1 loss to OPS, they lost two players to suspension as Jean da Silva and Gullit Zolameso both got red cards and will miss this match.

FC Haka is on a 8-match unbeaten streak (4W 4D). This good form has moved them already to 4th position but it seems that they have started their form a bit too late. There is only 6 matches remaining and they are 7 points behind 2nd placed team Honka. They will still meet leaders TPS and 3rd placed KPV at home so they have a chance to cut the deficit a bit more but it will be extremely difficult as they will need both Honka and KPV to drop quite a lot of points. A win here though would keep the pressure. Haka will still miss Tuomas Lähdesmäki and Jean Fridolin Nganbe Nganbe but both are close to returning.

The teams have met twice this season with Haka winning both games. 0-2 in Helsinki and 2-1 in Valkeakoski.

Gnistan needs the win but they also did last time and folded under pressure. Haka is in really good form so away win.
