This is  derby match between two teams who are fighting for promotion this season. FF Jaro started their campaign with a 0-2 win against Klubi-04 and KPV drew their opening match away from home against JJK 0-0. The teams met already this season in the Finnish Cup with KPV winning at home 4-2.

Last season Jaro was not much of a home team with a 4-5-5 record but that is mainly down to their poor start to the season. Now they have a good (injury-free) pre-season behind them and they can thoroughly look for promotion. They have a good balance throughout the team with good defense, midfield and attack. They lack a bit of depth but if they can keep their key players without injury, they have a good chance for promotion. In their first match, they had some problems in keeping the ball as Klubi-04 had most of the possession. Despite this, Jaro defended well and kept their opponent from good scoring chances. They themselves scored from their own chances and took the 3 points.

KPV is the main promotion candidate as they look even stronger than last season when they finished 3rd. Lately they have had one big problem though and that is in scoring goals. They have a very active playing style but so far it has not led into good chances. KPV can consider themselves somewhat lucky to get a point against JJK as JJK missed two penalties in that game. KPV on-loan goalkeeper Marttinen saved them both. They expect a bit more tactical game from this than their opening match. Both teams know each other well so they will try to eliminate eachothers strengths. Still as this is a derby game, it should have a lot of action.
