This is a big game as both teams started as clear contenders for promotion this season. TPS was 2nd last season and made it into the play-outs against FC Inter and lost. Now they will want to try again for promotion but they are still without a win from their opening 4 matches. Their defense has been working fine with only 4 goals conceded in 4 matches but with only 2 goals scored, it is their offense that is letting them down. Last season they had one of the best attacks in the league with several players scoring goals. Now they will need to improve on that if they wish to fight for promoted again. TPS will get back into this match their experienced striker Mikko Hyyrynen who was their top goalscorer with 14 goals last season. He will bring calmness with the team and help their offense.

FF Jaro is still undefeated after 3 games but with 2 draws in those games, they find themselves in 6th position. To be fair, if they win the games in hand, they would share the top spot with Honka. They had a good pre-season and a good start in the league but some unlucky injuries to key players have kept them from turning the draws into wins. FF Jaro lost their main goalkeeper Emil Öhberg in the last match and he is still out. They will also miss Jonas Emet, Pavle Milosavljevic and Papa Niang. Their 2nd goalkeeper Johannes Ström though is good also having been the number one at GrIFK last season.

Last season the teams met 3 times with the first match in Pietarsaari ending in a draw and the last two matches Jaro won. As an interesting fact, in those three matches between the teams, FF Jaro had a different head coach in each one.

Starting line ups:
TPS: Viscosi – Kinnunen, Tenho, Holma, Rähmönen – Blomqvist, Peräaho – Jakonen, Virtanen, Mettälä – Hyyrynen
Jaro: Ström – Moore, Bamba, Chantzopoulos, Messenger – Peth, Katidis, Remesaho, Kronholm, Kula – Eissele

Prediction:

Initial pick is both teams to score with 1.64 odds and home win.
