Recently relegated from the Veikkausliiga, JJK is the only team without a win in this year´s Ykkönen. They have 2 draws and a loss and are bottom of the league. FF Jaro is only 1 point ahead of them having beaten Klubi-04 but then lost to both KPV and HIFK. They are one of the promotion contenders so it has not been a great start.

JJK lost a lot of players since their relegation but they still managed to keep some sort of core group of players especially in the midfield. They are yet to win in the league and they need to start doing it soon. This is already their third home game and one thing that history has shown is that if you do not play well at home, you will get relegated. In their home games against KPV and EIF, they played really well. They were energetic and aggressive but they just could not get the 3 points. They missed two penalties against KPV and against EIF, they should have gotten the win if it would have not been for a couple of defensive mistakes. Besides the goals, EIF did not have many chances.

FF Jaro has only one win so far but the two losses have come against the biggest promotion contenders in the league, KPV and HIFK. FF Jaro started their season as one of the favourites but it has not shown in their game yet. Even in their 0-2 win over Klubi-04 there were many times in that match where they were the second best team. This will be the first time this season that Jaro will play on natural grass. Their striker Sasa Jovovic played with JJK at the end of last season scoring 3 goals in 14 games in the Veikkausliiga so he knows his opponent well.
