This is a battle between two teams who played in the Veikkausliiga last season. However they have started their Ykkönen campaigns completely oppositely. JJK is bottom of the league with only 2 points from 5 games. HIFK is top of the league with 10 points.

JJK has not had the best start. They have had injuries and the squad does not have much depth. They have been using very young players in their line-ups whenever they do not get any assistance from Ilves. During pre-season JJK focused on defending but because of their injuries, that only showed in their opening round 0-0 match against KPV. Since then they have conceded 11 goals in their last 4 games. Still JJK has not been playing badly. In every game except against Klubi04, they have shown that with a bit better luck, they could have gotten more points from those games.

HIFK is leading the league right now but it is so tight that the difference between the first and the 9th is only 4 points. HIFK is a strong team but they have not really played like a team who will win promotion. They have won both of their home matches but away from home, they lost to AC Oulu and drew with EIF. Their only away win came from the opening match against FC Haka where they played most of the match with a man advantage. Still we expect HIFK to be one of the teams who will get promoted.

Previous matches:

JJK team news:

JJK will be without Samu Suoraniemi and Vertti Lepo. Tomi Petrescu should return to the line up.

HIFK team news:

Starting Line ups:

JJK: Riihimäki – Abdi, Gustavson, Vehkonen, Heimonen – Manninen, Laine – Ali, Hyökyvirta, Alaharjula
HIFK: Maanoja – Jurvainen, Kuusijärvi, Andberg, Vesala – Bäckman, Jyry, Nando, Halme – Ulmanen, Kurki

With these odds you have to go with the home team. Out of the 25 games so far, 14 have ended in a home win in Ykkönen this season. JJK Draw no bet.
