This is a battle of the bottom half teams. HIFK is in much more trouble as they are 11th and their performances have not been that good. RoPS has been playing pretty well recently, especially at home, but they just sold their best player Robert Taylor to Allsvenskan team AIK and this will be their first match without him.

At home RoPS has been really good this season. They have won 5 games and lost 3 at home which is the 3rd best home record so far in the Veikkausliiga. Defensively RoPS has been good in recent game as in their last 4 games they have conceded only 2 goals. They play best as a team as they do not have especially good individuals (esecially as Taylor left). Sometimes the game is excellent but sometimes the youth players cannot keep their level and fold.

HIFK is 7 points behind RoPS so this is a game they must not lose at least. They have gotten only 3 points from their last 5 games and with the exception of the JJK win, their performance has not been good. The have started conceding goals lately and they still cannot score themselves against better defenses. HIFK will miss Jani Bäckman and Kim Raimi due to suspension. Kristian Heinolainen and Tommi Vesala are injured. Fredrik Lassas might be available to this match.

The teams have met once this season with HIFK winning at home 1-0 which is only their 2nd win of the season. Last season RoPS won their first home game against HIFK 1-0 and the 2nd ended 0-0.

Starting line ups:
RoPS: Reguero – Väisänen, Tatomirovic, Hämäläinen, Nurmela – Hyvärinen, Muinonen – Stavitski, Ylätupa, Roiha – Eze
HIFK: Maanoja – Hänninen, Kuusijärvi, A Lody, Anyamele – Halme, Gela, Väyrynen, Terävä – Sihvola, Forssell

Prediction:

With RoPS missing also Captain Okkonen, and losing Taylor and Addy previously, the value is on the visitors who get back key midfielder Mika Väyrynen. HIFK Draw no Bet
