Both teams have had a lot of injuries this season so it is not a surprise that their performances have been inconsistent. FC Lahti is still in 4th position and SJK is 4 points behind them as 7th after 6 rounds. After their poor loss to RoPS a couple of weeks ago, FC Lahti has gotten two really good results. They drew 1-1 with KuPS away from home and on Thursday they beat HJK in Helsinki. These results must have given them confidence to do even better. They are a very good defensive side with an excellent goalkeeper. Their offense has not played with their best players yet so its too early to judge. A lot will depend on what players they have fit.

SJK also has missed several players and their line-up has been constantly changing. They are one of the few teams though who has depth in their roster so these should not affect them too badly. Their problem has been in their playing style as it seems to lack a system. It has not been clear how their head coach Tommi Kautonen wants to play and they keep making errors defensively and they do not create enough chances for their strikers to score. If the performances do not improve soon, many think that Kautonen might be the first head coach to go this season.
