Both teams have been playing poorly this season with FC Inter 8th with 24 points and HIFK 11th with 14 p<Toints. FC Inter just sacked their head coach Shefki Kuqi yesterday so it will be interesting to see if this improves their teams performances as they are definitely better than what their position shows.

FC Inter´s season has been a roller coaster. They invested a lot but have not been able to show good performances too often. Especially at home they have struggled as they have earned only 2 wins so far with 5 draws and 2 losses. Their squad is very top heavy with many forward players. They only have a few defensive players and when some of them have been either injured or suspended, they have struggled. They will miss players also from this game as full back Petros Kanakoudis is suspended. Niko Markkula, Njazi Kuqi, Kevin Mombilo, Kosta Manev and Elias Mastokangas are injured. This will be the first match in charge as a head coach for Italian Fabrizio Piccareta.

HIFK has been doing even worse than Inter this season. All together they only have 2 wins so far and they are in the relegation play-out position. They are only 5 points ahead of JJK who are in the automatic relegation position and 8 points behind RoPS who are automatically safe. HIFK has won only once this season on the road with 5 draws and 3 losses. They also have had defensive injuries which has cost them as main center backs Kuusijärvi and Raimi are both out for a long time. They just re-signed their former player Tuomas Aho who retired at the end of last season to help them but he has been playing only in the 6th division this season so his match fitness is a question mark. Jani Bäckman who played in central defense in the last match is suspended. They will still miss also full back Tommi Vesala but Matias Hänninen returns from suspension.

The teams met once this season with FC Inter winning 0-2 in Helsinki. Last season FC Inter won once in Helsinki and once at home. The third match in Helsinki ended in a draw.

Starting line ups:
Inter: Moisander – Varmanen, Nyman, Alan Henrique, Lehtonen – Garcia,Mäkitalo, Njoku, Ojala – Källman, Furuholm
HIFK: Maanoja – Anyamele, A Lody, Gela, Hänninen – Ristola, Väyrynen, Halme, Terävä – Sihvola, Forssell

Prediction:

Tricky match, as both teams seem to be experimenting a bit especially defensively but we will stick with under 2.5 goals.
