Bottom club PS Kemi is almost on a must win situation against newly promoted FC Honka. It is not looking good for the hosts as they have a new head coach, they have lost a few key players recently and they have lost their last five games and are already 4 points behind IFK Mariehamn for the qualifier position. FC Honka is currently 5th and only 1 point from a Top-3 position and a Euro cup place with a game in hand. The teams have met once this season with Honka winning 2-1 at home.

PS Kemi sacked their long term head coach Jari Åhman just a couple of weeks ago and Scottish David Hannah took over. So far it has not made any difference as they lost first to leaders HJK 2-0 and in the last match they were leading already 1-2 in the second half only to lose the match 3-2. They are bottom of the league and even though they are “only” 4 points behind IFK Mariehamn, their survival would be a miracle this season. Their survival was made worse after they sold Kosta Manev (Vardar Skopje), goalkeeper Oskari Forsman (FC Lahti) and captain Julian Guevara (FC Inter). The team needs new players and they brought one from Belgian club KVK Westhoek. French defender Jean-Felix Moyengo Somy should be eligible to play in this match. Kemi has not been a good home team this season with only one win and 5 points from their nine home games. You must remember though that many of their early home games were played on neutral ground.

FC Honka has been the surprise team this season together with RoPS. They have lost only three games all season and one of them came last week against VPS at home ending their undefeated home streak since 2014. That loss also ended their 7 match unbeaten streak this season. Honka struggled in scoring goals early in the season but ever since they got Macoumba Kandji as a striker, things have chanced and now they are fighting to get into Europe. They have been a decent away team with 3 wins 4 draws and only 2 losses (SJK and HJK).
