This is a match between two teams in a bit of a crisis. SJK already changed their head coach this season and are currently 10th with only 9 points from 11 games. Newly promoted TPS has struggled to score goals and they are bottom of the table with 7 points from 11 games.

SJK has had a lot of problems this season and injuries have played a big part in this. Their new head coach Aleksei Eremenko Jr. has been in charge of SJK now for three games and he has gotten two draws against IFK Mariehamn and VPS and a loss against league leaders HJK. He is still looking for his first win but when they start getting players back from injury list, the performances should improve. SJK is 1-1-4 this season at home which is well behind of their 7-4-6 record from last season.

TPS has been unlucky in their games. Of course they struggle to score. They even missed a penalty in their last match against KuPS which would have given them the win in added time. Overall though their matches have been very tight. They have lost by more than 1 goal only twice. SJK beat them 0-2 thanks to two late goals earlier in the season when the match was played on neutral ground in Valkeakoski. Also Ilves managed to beat them 2-0 but that again was a tight match. Basically the consensus is that if they start finding the net, then the wins will follow.

Previous matches:

TPS 0-2 SJK (This season, played on neutral ground)

SJK team news:

SJK will still miss Jarkko Hurme, Richie Dorman, Marc Vales, Obed Malolo and Possibly Dani Hatakka. Vahid Hambo is suspended and Matti Klinga is suffering from a small injury. On good news, they will get back Emile Tendeng, Jordan Mustoe and Billy Ions.

TPS team news:

TPS will miss Niklas Blomqvist who is sick and Elias Ahde who cannot play against the team he is on loan from. Goalkeeper Jonathan Viscosi, defender Rasmus Holma and forward Oskari Jakonen are all available.
