This is an important match for the visitors. FC Lahti has nothing to play for anymore this season after losing to FC Inter away from home on Wednesday 2-0. They are now 11 points from a Euro Cup place with 4 matches to go. They can still get into the Top-6 as they are 4 points behind VPS but with their current form, even that is a stretch. TPS though needs points urgently. They are in the relegation playout position but only 1 point behind IFK Mariehamn and 2 points behind SJK.

The loss to FC Inter was already FC Lahti´s 10th game without a win but more importantly they have failed to score a goal now in their last three games. They have scored 26 goals so far and only SJK and PS Kemi have worse records than that. They could rely at the start of the season in their defense but even that leaks goals now. They also had a good record at home. It is now 6-6-3 which is not bad but in their last five games they have drawn three and lost twice. Out of form and out of motivation. Their head coach will leave at the end of the season so interesting to see if his players will pick up on form to give him a good send off.

TPS has been in really good from recently. Ever since they got Sterling Yateke as their main striker. With him, they now have a goal scoring threat and that always leads to points. Unfortunately for them, that has only led to points at home. TPS is the worst away team in the league and they are still looking for their first win outside of the Veritas stadium. They almost got that in their last game, but IFK Mariehamn just equalised in the last minute.
