This is a game between two teams out of form. FC Lahti is currently 7th and Inter is five points behind them as 8th. Inter still needs a few more points to secure their spot in the Veikkausliiga this season as TPS who occupy the relegation playout spot is only 6 points behind them with 4 games to go after this.

FC Inter has not won in their last seven games. Their biggest problem has been their offense as in those seven games, they have only managed to score one goal. Their defense works now, but offensively they do not create much. It could be that the team lacks motivation as they already won a place in Europe by winning the Finnish Cup or it is because they know that their current head coach John Allen will not continue after this season. Whatever is the case, they need to start finding the net or the teams below them will start to create pressure on them. Inter is the second worst home team in the league with a 3-4-5 record. Only PS Kemi has a worse one.

FC Lahti has exactly the same problem as FC Inter. They just cannot create enough chances to score goals. Lahti has not won in their last nine games and they have scored only three goals in their last seven matches. They also have a similar issue with their head coach as they know that Toni Korkeakunnas will leave after this season. Maybe that is the reason why the team looks like playing without motivation. Lahti is not an easy team to beat away from home, but at the same time they are not a very good away team. They have a 2-7-4 record away from home. They have not won in their last 8 away games, but only three of those were defeats.

Inter team news:

Inter is expected to use rotation here. They will miss only Timo Furuholm and Tero Mäntylä and both are because of suspension.

Lahti team news:

Tim Martinen, Kalle Taimi and Josimar Lima are still injured. Stenio and Santeri Hostikka are back from suspension. Hassan Sesay, Paavo Voutilainen and Nuutti Laaksonen are also available again.

Starting Line ups:

Inter: Moisander – Hoskonen, Nyman, Kamy, Penninkangas – Varmanen, Lahti, Kairinen – Viholainen, Mäkitalo, Järvistö
Lahti: Forsman – Sesay, Voutilainen, Hauhia – Hertsi, Jäntti, Gela, Paananen, Assehnoun – Hostikka, Salmikivi

Both teams to score. Both have had problems with scoring and sooner or later this will change. Both want to end their streaks without a win so they might attack a bit more.
