FC Lahti vs FC Inter 18:30 Kisapuisto, Lahti
Bethard odds: 3.05 – 3.10 – 2.40
Nobody expected much from Lahti this season but they have started with a draw and a win in their opening two matches. FC Inter was thought to be fighting for Euro Cup places this season but they have only gotten 3 points from their opening three games. Season is still early though.
Last season Inter dominated against FC Lahti winning once at home and once away. The third match in Lahti ended in a 0-0 draw. The teams met already this season in the Finnish Cup with FC Lahti winning 1-2 in Turku.
FC Lahti team news
FC Lahti is a totally different team than what it was last season as they have over 10 new players and they have a new head coach in Sami Ristilä (Coached the final few rounds last season). Lahti started their season with a great comeback against KuPS. They trailed at half-time 0-3 at home but in the second half, they came back to draw 3-3. In their second game, they beat newly promoted HIFK 0-1 in Helsinki. Difficult to say yet what is the current level of Lahti at this moment as KuPS made a lot of errors to allow Lahti to come back and HIFK at the moment is the worst team in the league. FC Inter should be a good test for them. One thing is for sure and that is that Lahti is dangerous in set pieces. Josu Corrais has scored in both of the games so far and Inter cannot foul close to the box as Josu is capable of hurting them with his free kicks.
FC Lahti will miss from this match Jerónimo Amione, Irfan Sadik and Drilon Shala due to injury.
FC Inter team news
FC Inter plays very nice offensive game and they have one of the most dangerous attackers in the league, Filip Valencic on the squad (3 goals so far). Inter could not use this offense much against HJK in their opening match and lost in the end 1-2. They then were the much better team against VPS and beat them away from home 1-2. In the last round, at home to SJK they lost 1-2, but in this case the match was played on natural grass which was in poor condition and favoured the visitors. This match is played artificial turf again so Inter can use their passing game.
Inter will miss from this match for sure Albion Ademi. Some other players are not 100% either but a decision on those will be done on game day.
