This is the second leg of the Veikkausliiga playoffs between KPV who finished 2nd in the Ykkönen this season and TPS who finished 11th in the Veikkausliiga. The first leg between the teams ended 0-0 in Kokkola on Wednesday in horribly wet conditions. The playoffs are played with European away goal rules so a win or any other draw than 0-0 will get KPV promoted. TPS needs a win to remain in the Veikkausliiga or a 0-0 draw would take them to extra time and potentially penalties.

You cannot write much about the first leg as teams were not able to play proper football due to the water on the pitch. The ball kept on stopping and the players were sliding on he wet and muddy grass. It is a miracle that no one got injured in that game.

TPS is the clear favourite in this game as they are a good home side. In their last 10 home games, they have won five, drawn two and lost three times. The last two home games ended in a loss but those were against the Top-2 teams in the Veikkausliiga; RoPS and HJK. KPV was the best home team in Ykkönen this season and they should have gotten something from their home game as on the road their performances have not been as good. KPV is 4-1-5 from their last 10 away games, including the important 2-1 loss to HIFK in their last away game which dropped them to 2nd position.

Previous matches (2017 season in Ykkönen):

KPV 2-2 TPS
TPS 0-0 KPV
KPV 2-1 TPS

TPS team news:

They will miss only long term injured Hradecky and forward Mika Ääritalo. Jakonen is back from his suspension.

KPV team news:

KPV will miss Sebastian Manström but they should not have any new injuries.

Starting Line ups:

TPS: Viscosi – Savic, Tenho, Holma, Rähmönen – Mckendry, Peräaho – Jakonen, Sjöroos, Blomqvist – Yateke
KPV: Marttinen – Josimov, Chantzopoulos, Koskimaa, Huuhka – Poutiainen, Heiermann – Hinestroza, Byskata, Marin – Multanen

Prediction:

TPS is so strong at home so home win with both teams to score.
