Sami Ristilä appointed as FC Lahti head coach for the next two years

FC Lahti has announced today that they have signed their interim head coach Sami Ristilä as their new head coach for the next two years with an option for one.

At the same time FC Lahti appointed former Finnish International footballer Pekka Lagerblom as assistant coach who will also be the head coach for the FC Lahti youth team. FC Lahti will have many changes for next season with the playing personnel. They will cut their player budget and will try to add more youth players from the Lahti area into the main team. Ristilä has been an assistant coach under Toni Korkeakunnas this season.

Sami Ristilä is a former player who played with FC Haka, MyPa and Jokerit in Finland and Neukirchen, Zwolle and Drogheda United abroad. He has been the head coach with FC Haka and FC KTP and as an assistant coach at Shamrock Rovers.
