This is the second leg match of the Champions League qualifiers 2nd round. The first leg ended 0-0.

The stadium is sold out tonight and this will give a big boost for the home side. The first was quite even despite BATE having a bit more chances. HJK defended very well and BATE only had a couple of long shots that were close to getting in. Their best chance hit the cross bar.  HJK had their own few chances and an away goal was not that far away. As the score is 0-0, HJK needs to win this match in order to go through. With 0-0 they will go to penalties. HJK will be boosted by the fact that they are a very good home team. In the domestic Veikkausliiga they are 8-0-2 at home this season and they have now won their last 8 home games in all competitions. In Euro Cup games, HJK has also been strong winning five and drawing four or their last 10 home games in Europe. Their only loss coming to IFK Göteborg.

BATE did not play in the Belorussian league this weekend but it is not much of an advantage as HJK rotated many of their players in their 1-2 away win against FC Honka. BATE has been a very good away team in their own league. This season they have won seven and lost only once. As a positive side for the visitors is that they have been able to score an away goal in every match. If they score here, they will be very close to progressing to the next stage. Their defense needs to be a bit better than in their recent away games. BATE has conceded seven goals in their last four away games.

The winner of this tie will go to the UCL 3rd qualifying round where they will meet the winner of Kukesi vs Qarabag. The first leg in Albania ended 0-0. The loser of this tie will go to the UEL 3rd qualifying round where they will meet the winner of NK Olimpija Ljubljana or Crusaders FC. Olimpija won the first leg 5-1 so they are almost through.
