FC Lahti announced today that they have signed FYR Macedonian goalkeeper Damjan Siskovski for the 2018 season with an option for 2019.

The 22-year old Siskovski moves to FC Lahti from FK Rabotnicki where he won the double in 2014. He made his debut in the FYR Macedonian main league when he was just 16-years old. He has gone through all the FYR Macedonia youth international teams and is a part of the senior team now.

Some Finns might remember him in goal when HJK played against Rabotnicki in 2014 in the Champions League qualifiers. He has experience from three different Europa League qualifications from 3 different seasons. In 2015 he even played on loan with Belgian club Gent for half a year.

According to FC Lahti goalkeeping coach Ari Korhonen: Damjan Siskovski is a good size goalkeeper who is agile and is good in saving with good reflexes.

FC Lahti has now 22 contracts for the upcoming season. They are still waiting for his playing permit but that might come already before their Finnish Cup match against JJK on Saturday.
