Emil Lidman leaves SJK and joins HIFK/Gnistan

HIFK announced today that they have signed forward Emil Lidman who had just left SJK earlier in the day.

The 19-year old Emil Lidman have signed a 1+1 deal after he cancelled his contract with SJK and moves to Helsinki with a free transfer.

This season Lidman has played in 1 Finnish Cup game with SJK and scored 5 goals in 4 matches for the SJK youth team in their youth league. The KäPa graduate has represented SJK since 2014. With the SJK main team he has played 4 Veikkausliiga games, 2 Finnish Cup games and 1 Europa League qualifier match.

HIFK immediately decided to loan the player to their cooperation team Gnistan in the Finnish 1st Division Ykkönen. Gnistan can offer the player a bigger role and playing time which is vital for the development of the young player.

The forward has represented Finland in the U15, U16, U18 and U19 national teams.
