This is a derby game as Pietarsaari and Seinäjoki are close to each other. FF Jaro plays in the Ykkönen but their looking for promotion after this season back to the Veikkausliiga. SJK are the reigning Finnish Cup winners and their minimum target this season is to get into Europe and winning the Cup would do that again.
FF Jaro started the cup with a 2-0 win over 2nd Division team MuSa where both of the goals came late in the game. SJK on the other hand defeated in the Cup their own reserve team 7-0 so you cannot really judge their actual level from that. They have a full squad and despite losing their top goalscorer Roope Riski to Paderborn, they are still one of the favourites for the Veikkausliiga season.
FF Jaro will miss from this game Jonas Emet, Joni Remesaho and Oskar Sandström, but their new signing Giorgos Katidis is available and will want to show what he can do in his debut. SJK will miss only Jarkko Hurme from this match.
Starting line ups:
Jaro: öhberg – Moore, Bamba, Peth, Vidjeskog, Kula, Larsson, Katidis, Häggblom, Chatzopoulos, P.niang
SJK: Aksalu – Dorman, Vales, Hradecky, Laaksonen – Hradecky, Hetemaj – Valakari, Klinga, Mboma, Ions
Tellushalli has the fans very close to the pitch and as this is a derby game, there should be good atmosphere. Because of this, both teams to score is the main pick here.
