First Division team FF Jaro wanted to get promoted last season back to the Veikkausliiga but their poor start to the season cost them the promotion. They changed their head coach to Englishman Kristian Heames during last season and it was a successfull one as he dragged the team very close to the promotion play-off spots. This season he wants to continue that and take the team all the way. The team has remained almost the same from last season. They lost only Josue Soto and Samu Alanko and most likely also Seth Paintsil wont play with them anymore. . They have signed already Kevin Peth from VPS, Brock Messenger (Cantebury United), Charalambos Chantzolpoulos (FC Gutersloh) and Johannes Ström from GrIFK. So far they have 16 contracts for this season. They have played two friendlies so far. They beat OPS 4-0 and they lost 0-1 to SJK.
MuSa won their group in Kakkonen last season but they failed to earn promotion as they lost in the play-outs. They will continue this season in the 2nd division and should be again one of the top teams there. They have managed to keep most of their players from last season and they got a couple of more players from their city rivals FC jazz. Right now they have 18 contracts s they are prepared for the new season. MuSa played a friendly last week where they beat 3rd Division team ToWe 1-0. MuSa had a huge amount of posession but they could not create too many clear chances as ToWe defended well. From their foreign players Bilal is available but Korouma has not returned yet back from Africa so he wont be available for this match.
Starting line ups:
Jaro: Öhberg – Moore, Bamba, Peth, Brock – Kronholm, Emet, Vidjeskog, Kula, Chantzopoulos – P.niang
MuSa: Sallila – Välilä, Koponen, Salminen, Bilal, Pihlainen, Räisänen, Vihlman, Junnila, Rantala, Miftari
Jaro has a strong line up but with many new players. Home win but not with a big margin.
