Finnish 1st Division Ykkönen

Finnish 1st Division Ykkönen 25 September: Full Round

Finnish 1st Division Ykkönen Sunday 25 September
EIF vs GrIFK 16:00 Centralplan, Tammisaari
Odds 1.90 – 3.50 – 3.80 – Great odds on Ykkönen at

Big relegation derby game. Neither is in the relegation zone right now but the loser of this game might be after this round. Neither team is in the best form as they have both won 2 and lost 3 of their last 5 games. The teams have met twice this season with both teams winning once at home. This makes sense as both teams are known to play better at home rather than in their away games. This game though will be important as there is only 4 rounds left.

This will be the first game for EIF new head coach Ilkka Marttila.

Starting line ups:
EIF: Murray – Ekström, Sairinen, Estlander, Sevon, Timoska, Isaksson, Akouokou, Källman, Lindqvist, Lucas Kaufmann

GrIFK: Ström – Heiskanen, Törmänen, Mikkonen, Meyer, Langhoff S, Seferi F, Tuominen, Takamäki, Kaasinen, Ilomäki

No bet from me, too many unknowns.

KPV vs FF Jaro 16:00 Centralplan, Kokkola
Odds 3.50 – 3.50 – 2.04 – Great odds on Ykkönen at

Another big Derby game. KPV is 5th and Jaro 4th with 1 point difference. There are only 4 rounds left but the winner of this game will still have a slight chance to promotion. Jaro has a 6 point gap to 2nd place so this is a must win game.

Kokkola and Pietarsaari are close so this will be an important derby game for both teams. The teams have met twice in Pietarsaari with KPV winning the first game 0-1 and the 2nd ending 0-0. FF Jaro though comes into this match with 9 games unbeaten. They will also only miss Josue Soto and Oskar Sandström from this match. Everyone else is available. KPV is missing several players. Henri Myntti and Dawda Bah are suspended and Yankuba Ceesay and Washilly Tshibasu are injured. Also the team has had fever going through most of the players which will make some players as doubts.

Starting line ups:
KPV: Myllymäki – Gustavsson, Mendy, Rauhala, Mäki, Sipilä, Banner Jr, Luokkala, Sirbiladze, Palosaari, Marsh

Jaro: Öhberg – Moore, Bamba, Curinga, Maomba, Emet, Remesah, Kronholm, Kula, P.niang, Alanko

Clear Jaro win.

FC KTP vs TPS 18:30 Arto Tolsa Areena, Kotka
Odds 2.73 – 3.40 – 2.34 – Great odds on Ykkönen at

This is a huge match for both teams with lots at stake. FC KTP is yet again in poor form and they are second of bottom facing back-to-back relegation having been relegated from the Veikkausliiga after last season. TPS on the other hand is 2nd and have a great chance for promotion. KTP has not won in 4 games. TPS won their last game but before that they went 3 games without a win.

The teams have met two times this season in Turku and KTP has won both games with a clear margin. FC KTP might get Niko Ikävalko into this game. TPS will get back Mohamed Abukar and striker Riku Sjöroos.

Starting line ups:
KTP: Pyhäranta – Ositashvili, Honkaniemi, Pasi, Laitinen, Tarvonen, Minkenen, Samaniego, Oksanen, Aalto, Kannah

TPS: Forsman – Friberg, Peräaho, Kinnunen, Holma, Rähmönen, Virtanen, Mohamed, Hyyrynen, Jakonen, Mettälä

TPS with the better line up but all in all there should be goals. Over 2.5 goals.

FC Haka vs AC Oulu 18:30 Tehtaan Kenttä, Valkeakoski
Odds 2.50 – 3.40 – 2.60 – Great odds on Ykkönen at

They are all big games at the Ykkönen with so few rounds left. FC Haka though seems to almost safe with no chance to gain promotion. AC Oulu though needs a win badly. They are 3rd at the moment with 2 points behind TPS.

The teams have met twice this season with the first game at Valkeakoski ending 2-2. At Oulu the home team won clearly 3-1. FC Hake will miss Tuomas Karjanlahti, Juho Saarinen and most likely Jesse Ahonen. Etchu Tabe though returns to the squad. AC Oulu will miss Petteri Pietola, Antti Peura, Akseli Kalermo and Cephas Doku who are injured.

Starting line ups:
Haka: Kauppinen – Mäenpää, Rantanen, Latosaari, Sarajärvi, Mäenpää N, Mbachu, James, Järvi, Ahde

Oulu: Wentin  – Vandell, Nurmela, Gilberto, Mäkäräinen, Jari, Welling, Kemppainen, Gabriel, Nurmos, Heikkinen

Home win. Oulu starting without Mboma or Ramadingaye.

FC Jazz vs JJK 18:30 Porin stadion, Pori
Odds 4.00 – 3.80 – 1.80 – Great odds on Ykkönen at

The home team FC Jazz has made an incredible comeback but the last 3 games have ended in a draw and they are still too far behind to have a chance for survival. JJK leads the 1st Division and they have a great chance for promotion as long as they win this match.

The teams have met 3 times this season with Jazz knocking JJK out from the Finnish Cup. In the league the first match at Pori finished 2-2 and in Jyväskylä JJK won 2-0. FC Jazz will miss Gabriel Wirtz due to injury. Samuli Virtanen is suspended and Alfred Mapoka is a doubt. They will get back Toni Junnila though. JJK will miss Niko Markkula who is suspended.

Starting line ups:
Jazz: Pirhonen – Starck, Mäntynen, Nurminen, Välilä, Tuovinen, Lehto, Sanchez, Junnila, Mäkelä, Lehtonen.

JJK: Viljala – Tapaninen, Abdi, Lähitie, Kohonen, Kari, Suoraniemi, Järvinen, Loutelamio, Leppänen, Abahassine

Away win but there should be goals from both sides.
