Finnish 1st Division Ykkönen 11 September: FC KTP vs EIF and FF Jaro vs FC Haka
Finnish 1st Division Ykkönen Sunday 11 September
FC KTP vs EIF 18:30 Arto Tolsa Areena, Kotka
Odds 1.83 – 3.80 – 3.70 – Great odds on Ykkönen at Bet.RedKings.com
The big relegation fight match. KTP is now on the relegation zone just 1 point behind EIF who are safe at the moment. There are only 6 rounds left so this is a big one. Especially the home team cannot afford to lose this one. After the change in head coach they started to play well and it looked like they would easily safe themselves but 2 straight losses to Oulu and GrIFK have dropped them back in it. EIF has been playing really bad since they sold their top scorer Sasa Jovovic but they have acquired quite a few loan players and their former attacking midfielder Lucas Kauffman so this game will not be easy for the hosts.
The teams have met twice this season and EIF have won both games with a single goal. However both losses for KTP happened prior to the change of head coach. KTP will miss from this game Captain Valeri Minkenen and Juuso Salonen. Also the flu has been affecting the team so some other players are doubts. EIF will miss Aalto and Isaksson but Gruborovics will return to the team. Källman was supposed to join in this game but parent club FC Inter called him back.
Starting line ups:
KTP: Pyhäranta – Ositashvili, Honkaniemi, Dolivo, Laitinen, Veija, Tarvonen, Samaniego, Aalto, Kannah, Ikävalko
EIF: Murray – Ekström, Sairinen, Jalli, Estlander, Sevon, Timoska, Akouokou, Lindqvist, Salminen, Kaufmann
This is a 50/50 match so the value is on the away team. EIF has beaten them twice this season and they can do it again.
FF Jaro vs FC Haka 18:30 Keskuskenttä, Pietarsaari
Odds 1.72 – 3.70 – 4.50 – Great odds on Ykkönen at Bet.RedKings.com
This is another big match for both teams. FF Jaro is top of the form table after winning all their matches since the change of head coach. That is 5 wins in a row and especially beating the league leaders TPS and Oulu in their previous matches have been good. They are now 5th with 9 points behind leaders JJK but they have played 2 games less. They are 7 points behind AC Oulu who occupy the promotion play-off spot so everything is still possible for the Pietarsaari team but it means they will have to keep on winning in order to have any chance. The visitors Haka are in a weird spot as they still have a slight mathematical chance for promotion (not really but still) but also they are only 3 points ahead of the relegation spot. They are not in immediate danger but they cannot afford to lose many points anymore.
The teams have met twice this season with both games ending in a draw. This match is also expected to be a close and tight one. Jaro will miss injured players Jonas Emet and Oskar Sandström. Also Walter Moore is suspended. On a good note, they will get back Hassoma Bino Bamba after his injury. Moore was a regular in the defensive line so they will need to find a replacement. FC Haka will miss Juho Saarinen, Tuomas Karjanlahti and Jesse Ahonen due to injury. Chris James will be suspended. Saarinen, Ahonen and James are normally regulars but they should be able to replace them.
Starting line ups:
Jaro: Öhberg – Bamba, Curinga, Maomba, Brunell, Josue, Remesaho, Kronholm, Kula, P.niang, Morin
Haka: Immonen – Mäenpää, Tabe, Rantanen, Latosaari, Lähdesmäki, Mattila, Mäenpää N, Mbachu, Mäkelä, Ahde
With the form Jaro has been playing, they are the clear favourite but Haka is not a bad team and another draw would not surprise. Small bet on the draw.
