Zlatan has teamed up with Volvo to give us a glimpse inside the superstar’s head and support Sweden’s bid for the championship. #madebysweden
Sweden made it to the Euros after they knocked out neighbours Denmark in the playoffs. Now they will face Italy, Belgium and Republic or Ireland in Group E. This is a very tough group where Sweden has to on top of their game in order to progress. Sweden has some good players but their hopes rest surely on the broad shoulders of Zlatan Ibrahimović. No matter what opinion you have on Zlatan Ibrahimović, he is a world class player and a real life example that dreams can come true as long as you are ready to work harder than anyone else.
Born in Sweden to a Bosnian Muslim and a Croatian Catholic, he grew up in the suburbs of Rosengård just on the outskirts of Malmö. It was a tough area where you had to be strong in order to survive. He was not a natural talent with the football but he realised it was his thing. He just kept on kicking the ball on the streets and he got better. A lot better.
Right now he is a player on top of his game and full of confidence. He is probably the only player in the world who can say “I came like a king, left like a legend” and get away with it without sounding too arrogant. Ambition and hard work has made him a Swedish institution like ABBA, IKEA or Volvo.
Zlatan is the all time top goalscorer for Sweden with 62 goals so far. He is the only player in the world who has scored in the UEFA Champions League with 6 different teams. He is also the only player who has won 13 championships in 4 different leagues.
He’ll listen and learn from others, but he will always choose his own path to victory. In all the teams he has played, he has won. He expects the best from himself and from others. And now he will play the Euros in the country that has made him a Legend. Check out Zlatan preparing for the Euros: #madebysweden
You have to admire the man behind all that success. Whoever you support this year, that’s a sentiment everyone can get behind. Share your thoughts with #madebysweden.
