Job Dragtsma has resigned as manager of Inter Turku

Bajram Nebihi

Inter Turku has just announced the resignation of Inter Turku manager Job Dragtsma.

Job Dragtsma had been the manager of Inter Turku since 2007 and this was supposed to be his final season. Today he has asked for resignation and the Club chairman Stefan Håkansa has accepted it.

“At this point, I do not believe I am the right manager/head coach to turn this team around into the right direction. Beacause of this, I do not want to continue” – Job Dragtsma said.

For now the team will be managed by assistant coach Jami Wallenius.

Inter Turku had made serious investments into the playing squad by signing the best defender in the Veikkausliiga Friday Obilor from RoPS and also former Panathinaikos player Pape Sow. The team was considered as a candidate even for the title but in their last 6 games they have earned only 1 win and 5 losses. Yesterday they suffered a humiliating 3-1 loss to bottom club PK-35 Vantaa who had actually just lost 4 starting line up players themselves including their assistant coaches.

Inter Turku will face PS Kemi Kings on Saturday on their own Veritas stadium in Turku.
