Lum Rexhepi signs with HJK

Football Finland

HJK Helsinki announced today the signing of Finnish central defender Lum Rexhepi.

The 23-year old Central defender moved to Norwegian Tippeligaen team Lillestrom at the beginning of last season with a 1 year deal but got injured early and did not play a single game during the whole season.

Lum Rexhepi started his career with the HJK juniors but moved to rivals FC Honka in 2011 where he played first with the reserves but then managed to make it to the first team in 2013 starting 7 matches in the Veikkausliiga. In 2014 he established himself with the first team making 22 appearances prior to his move to Lillestrom.

In Honka he also played under current HJK head coach Mika Lehkosuo so he definitely knows what he gets. Lum Rexhepi has signed a deal for 1 year which only lasts for the 2016 season.

The 192cm defender has played in the Finnish Under 19 and 21 teams but has not made any appearances for the National team. He also owns Kosovo passport.
